Casino Review

Gambling, in its many forms, has been a part of human culture for millennia. Evidence of games of chance goes back to 2300 BC China, while dice first appeared around 500 AD, followed by playing cards in the 1400s and baccarat, which is still played in some casinos today. But gambling has also always been a business, with people who make money off others by giving them the chance to win.

Beneath the glitz and glamour of flashing lights and free cocktails, casinos are built on a bedrock of mathematics that is engineered to slowly bleed patrons of their cash. And while there are some aficionados who can turn the tables using their knowledge of probability and game theory, for the most part, a casino is a game of pure chance.

For that reason, the casino industry is rife with scams and schemes to separate people from their money. This is why it’s important to find a trustworthy casino that places transparency, integrity and top-class service at the forefront of their operation.

Martin Scorsese’s Casino is a harrowing tale of violence, betrayal, and avarice that makes no room for heroes or heroines. But it’s a riveting film that keeps us in our seats until the very end. And while it’s a bit on the long side at over three hours, it never feels padded or runs out of steam. This is a movie that stands head and shoulders above other Vegas epics like Showgirls or Ocean’s Eleven.
